In October 2009 the 6th annual Adam Smith Russian CFO Summit underlined its status as the premier gathering of senior financial professionals in Russia and proved to be probably the most productive in the series to date.

Close to 300 attendees travelled to Moscow for the Summit, drawn from 8 different countries and over 20 major cities and regions from across Russia. The widest range of industries was represented – from Energy to Banking, Mining & Metals to Retail and Pharmaceuticals to Telecoms.

One of the most commented-upon aspects of this Summit was the willingness of members of the CFO community to share with each other the problems and challenges they have faced over the last 12 months and to offer solutions to their peers. Over 50 unique case studies were presented, covering such topical issues as Debt Restructuring, Communication with Shareholders, Cash Management & Treasury, the Evolving Priorities and Key Tasks of the CFO and Anti-Crisis Strategies.
