- Industry experts are estimating that Ukraine may hold the largest reserves of unconventional gas in Europe, if not worldwide;
- Ukraine is rapidly establishing itself as a regional leader in renewable energy, most notably wind and solar;
- The privatisation process is underway of significant stakes in both power generation and distribution assets;
- International financial institutions are committed to financing the much needed modernisation and upgrading of the national gas transportation infrastructure.
