Over 20 case studies were delivered by all the energy companies active in Ukraine, including
ExxonMobil, Shell, DTEK, NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine, Cub Energy, Arawak Energy, Cadogan Petroleum, Hutton Energy, Kulczyk Oil Ventures, Iskander Energy, Shelton Petroleum, Vanco Prykerchenska and many more;
Delegates heard first-hand about Ukraine’s national Energy Strategy from key government officials and the heads of state energy companies, including
Vice Prime Minister Boyko, Minister of Ecology & Natural Resources Proskuryakov, other key officials from the the Ministry of Energy & Coal and the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, the Rada Fuel & Energy Committee, NAK Naftogaz and Ukrgazvidobuvannya amongst others;
We heard the cutting-edge views of the leading international and domestic energy experts and commentators, such as
Oleksandr Todiychuk of the Q-Club, Simon Pirani of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, Mikhail Korchemkin of East European Gas Analysis, Olena Pavlenko of DiXi Group, Yuri Kubrushko of IMEPOWER and many more;
Daily Roundtable Debates took place between government and the industry on such issues as
the National Energy Strategy, Production Sharing Agreements and How to stimulate the growth of renewable energy in Ukraine;
Delegates enjoyed a rich and varied social programme, including a Gala Evening and 2 further drinks receptions,
the Gala Evening on 26th February was particularly memorable, taking place in the stylish B-Hush Lounge Bar on the 11th floor of the Hotel Intercontinental;
A Focus Day dedicated to the Development of the Renewable Energy Sector in Ukraine featured case studies of developers of wind, solar and biomass projects
including Activ Solar, DTEK Wind Power, EuroCape New Energy, Rengy Development, Wind Parks of Ukraine and many more;
