Her career as an economist started in 1992 in the international company “Salvis”, she made a career progress from a team member to a group manager in Arthur Andersen, worked as an internal auditor and then Finance Director of MegaFon (Sonic Duo), was Vice President in finance, investment and economics, Board Member of JSC Rosgossstrakh, Executive Vice President of the Finance and Investment Complex JSC AFK Sistema, Head of the Finance and Economics block of the hi-tech company within the AFK Sistema Group (JSC RTI).
She has written articles on finance and economics for Russian and foreign publications.

CAREER HISTORY: Upon completion of his MBA, Vitaliy started as Management Consultant in A.T. KEARNEY, Inc. (New York, USA), the leading global strategy consulting firm in 1995 (www.atkearney.com). Worked on procurement, business strategy and corporate reorganization projects with the US, British and German leading multinationals.
In 1997 - 1999 he was Senior Banking Associate in BANKERS TRUST INTERNATIONAL Plc. (London, UK). Led origination and execution of capital markets and structural financial products.
In 1999 Vitaliy joined the European division of FORD MOTOR COMPANY Ltd. (www.ford.com) as Project Manager, European New Business Development (Essex, UK). In 2001 he was promoted to Manager of Mergers and Acquisition Department. In 2002 he became the European Finance Controller of Material Planning and Logistics (Cologne, Germany).
In June 2003 Vitaliy became the Chief Financial Officer of PEREKRESTOK Ltd. (Moscow, Russia), the Russia largest supermarket chain (www.x5.ru). In May 2006, its merger with the leading Russian discounter chain PYATEROCHKA formed X5 Retail Group N.V., the London Stock Exchange listed company and the Eastern Europe’s largest retail company. Vitaliy became the Group CFO and Director A of the Management Board, and led integration and expansion of newly formed retail holding group. He retired as the CFO in January 2008 and became the Chairman of the Board, X5 Development Capital Ltd. and the Chairman of the Board, X5 Express Retail, Ltd.
In November 2008 Vitaliy was invited as the Deputy CEO for Finance and Administration to lead operational and financial restructuring of then-bankrupt chain Euroset, (www.euroset.ru), the Europe’s largest mobile retailer (6,000 stores in 7 countries), following its acquisition by OAO “VimpelCom” (www.vimpelcom.com). After successful completion of turn-around in June 2009, Vitaliy became the CEO of Group “Mosmart”, one of the leading hypermarket chains in Russia, that stopped its operations due to financial distress in the end of 2008. By November 2009 all stores re-started their normal operations and he became Deputy Chairman of the Board to focus on strategic initiatives and corporate development. From June to October, 2010 he was an interim President of Hediard Group, (www.hediard.fr), the leading international luxury food producer and retailer to develop turn-around and global growth strategy.
The Russian Management Association (www.amr.ru) ranked Vitaliy 5 years as “Best CFO in the Russian Retail” in 2004 – 2008. Russia’s “Aristos” Business Award nominee in 2006 – 2008 and Asia Retail Congress awarded him with “Retail Leadership Award - 2010”. Member of the Executive Counsel AKORT (The Russian Retail Association) in 2009-2010. Member of Expert Counsel “Finance Director” magazine 2003 - 2010. Regular speaker at key annual professional forums, such as “The Russian CFO Summit”, “Russian Retail Forum”, “Forum Russia”, “European CFO Summit”, “Asia Retail Congress”, etc. Winner of “Finance Director” magazine award “Best Article” (“M&A role in the Corporate Strategy”).
Mr. Mekhrishvili joined the Company as Financial Director in 1992 and has served as Executive Director ever since. Mr. Mekhrishvili joined the Board of Directors in 1998 and the Audit Committee in 2006. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Association of Independent Directors. Before joining the Company, he was the Deputy General Director for economics at the State Factory of Electronics and Computer Technologies, and served as the Regional Financial Director for the Marco Polo international hotel chain. Mr. Mekhrishvili graduated from Tbilisi State University (Georgia) with a specialization in economics.

He has a wealth of experience working at the highest level of management in Russian state structures (1996-2000 – Head of Federal Commission of Securities Market (FCSM of Russia), 1994-1996 – Deputy Head of FCSM, 1991-1994 – Deputy Head of State Committee for State Property Management of the Russian Federation) and so has experience in relations between different bodies of federal, regional, executive and legislative authority.
Mr. Vasilyev has achieved success in the establishment and management of state organisations (FCSM of Russia, 1994-2000) and non-governmental organisations (Institute of Corporate Law and Management), as a top manager of a large commercial company (JSC“Mosenergo, 2002-2006), working as a Board member in various companies as well as an investment banker in a large international bank (JP Morgan 2007-2009).
He has experience in the development of regulatory and legal framework and legal structures (mutual investment funds in 1995-2000, investment partnerships and economic partnerships in 2009-2012) and also experience in the management of major state projects (in particular, general management of stock auctions in Russia in 1992-1994).
He has experience in the management of corporate reform and attracting investment with a large public corporation: in 2002-2007 as a First Deputy General Director of Strategy and Corporate Policy of JSC “Mosenergo” he managed the development and implementation of the reform programme of “Mosenergo” including reorganisation of the ADR programme and division of JSC “Mosenergo” into 14 new companies, management of securing the financing of the investment programme of JSC “Mosenergo” including organisation of stock market flotation of JSC “Mosenergo” for the benefit of JSC “Gasprom” for 2,4 billion dollars, attracting a 250 million dollar investment credit from EBRD and placement of rouble bonds for 10 billion roubles.
He has a lot of consulting experience during implementation of major deals: as a managing director of JP Morgan investment bank (London, Great Britain) in 2007-2009 he took part, amongst others, in consulting deals on general reorganisation of RAO “UES of Russia” (2008), the sale of a stake in RAO UES of Russia in JSC “Mosenergo” to the Moscow Government for 2,2 billion dollars (2007), the sale of a share of RAO UES of Russia in TGK-8 for 900 million dollars to JSC “Lukoil” (2007).
He has a lot of hands-on experience as a Board Member in more than 15 Russian and international companies and foundations including JSC “Mosenergo” (2003-2006), JSC “Gasprom” (1994-1995), investment foundation “SICAF-SIF BPT ARISTA” (Luxemburg – 2009). At present he is a non-executive Board Member of several companies including JSC
“Bank “Otkrytie”, JSC “Avtokran”, “US-Russian Foundation”, etc. He is the Head of Audit and Risk Committee in JSC “Bank “Otkrytie”.
In his role as an Executive Director of the Institute of Corporate Law and Management in 2000-2002 he headed a group of Russian and international experts working on the development of the unique rating method of the corporate management quality (CORE-rating) in the 50 largest public companies in Russia.
Mr Vasilyev is one of the founders and managers of the Investor Protection Association (2000-2003).
Before becoming a Member of the Government of the Russian Federation in 1990-1991 Mr. Vasilyev worked as the Deputy Head of the Property Fund of St. Petersburg, the Head of Department of Privatisation of the Committee of Economic Reforms of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad City Congress of People’s Deputies.
He has experience in scientific and research activity in the area of social and economic development problems in the Academy of Science of the USSR (1985-1990) and of the state management problems and fight against corruption (2001-2002 – co-manager of the programme “Discovery and liquidation of the objective factors of corruption in connection with the reforms in the system of state management in the Russian Federation” of the Moscow Carnegie Foundation.)
He has published works in the areas of corporate management, securities markets, state management and privatisation.
Mr. Vasilyev has graduated from the Y.F.Voznesenski Leningrad Institute of Economics and Finance (at present – St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance) in 1984. In 2007 he received the status of an“approved person” for carrying out professional activity in the investment consulting on the securities market of the UK at the Securities and Investment Institute in London, UK.
Mr Vasilyev has received a medal “For Merit to the Fatherland” of 2nd degree.

As deputy editor-in-chief of the journal “The Art of Management” between 2000 and 2004, Mr. Lukashevich was involved in its creation and management, introducing the Russian reader for the first time to the best material from the Fast Company and Harvard Business Review – the leading worldwide publications on management.
In 2004 and 2005 Mr. Lukashevich managed the business literature department at the publishing house “Rosmen”, where he published several business bestsellers.
In 2005 at the publishers B2B Media (“Prof-Media” holding) Mikhail released the journal “Commercial Director: Sales & Marketing Management”, of which he was editor-in-chief for two years. In 2007 he created the journal “Financial Directors’ Club”, handed out to delegates of the 10th Russian Economic Forum in London. In 2008 the journal was turned into the website CFO-Russia.ru, which Mikhail is still editor-in-chief of.
Under Mr. Lukashevich’s management, in 2009-10 CFO-Russia.ru ran the feature “Lessons from the crisis: the CFO viewpoint”, culminating in the release of the book of the same name in 2011. The book, a compilation of interviews with financial directors dealing with the fight against the crisis, was presented to the audience at the CFO Summit 2011, organised by Adam Smith Conferences.
